Children's Day - 14 November 2018

14 November is the birth day of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister and his birth day is celebrated as children's day.

As AREDS is the collaboration organization to take up the Child Line services for the ministry of women and children, to help and address the issues of violence against children, especially, children caught in child marriage, child labour, trafficking and all kinds of violence, we took this chance of raising awareness to the public and among the children to seek the help of the toll free help line number 1098.

AREDS has a team of workers  stationed in Karur to help the children in need. In jyust three months time we have had 96 children rescued from child marriage.
